SRG Global’s is currently engaged by BlueScope Steel to complete essential civil repairs and upgrades at Berth 113 in the Port Kembla Steelworks, part of the Commodity Logistics & Import Project (CLIP), recognised as Critical State Significant Infrastructure by the NSW government. Our work involves reinforcing, repairing, rebuilding and cathodically protecting the existing berth fender wall system, constructing an extension, and enhancing facilities to extend the operation of the Coke Loader and 2UL Ore Unloader from Berth 112 to Berth 113.

Our Civil and Asset Remediation teams are remediating the quay wall front service duct, completing concrete repairs, and installing an ICCP system consisting of discrete concrete anodes and water anodes. Once completed the project will have extended the berth with new foundations and infrastructure, upgraded the rear rail beam and conveyor structure, and addressed demolition, drainage, and pavement needs. Our efforts will have significantly boosted the berth’s functionality and durability delivering on the design 50 year service life extension.
